Dear Friends and Family,
I want to take the time to tell you about a blog that has been started for my sister, Heidi Gropp. Below is the text from the “welcome page” on the blog that may help you to better understand the purpose of this blog. Please feel free to forward this blog onto those who you think would be willing to uphold Heidi and our family and prayer during this difficult time.
Welcome to Heidi's Hope. Heidi's Hope is a place for Heidi and her family to journal updates on her health, prayer requests, and praises. Heidi's hope is also a place for her friends and family to post words of encouragement and prayers for her.
As many of you know, Heidi has experienced difficulties with her health since she was very young (see her Health History Post in the archives for more details). Lately, Heidi has experienced more trials with her health (see other posts in the archives on the right side of the blog to see what is going on currently).
As mentioned above, this blog will help Heidi and her family provide information in a central location to her friends, family, and prayer warriors.
How can you help? At the bottom of each post there is an opportunity to comment (by clicking on the link and following the instructions). Your words of encouragement and prayers for Heidi and her family will be greatly appreciated during these trying circumstances.
Heidi and her family can set their hope in the Lord because of these truths:
"What is your only comfort in life and in death? That I am not my own, but belong- body and soul, in life and in death- to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood, and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven: in fact, all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit, assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him." (Heidelberg Catechism, Question 1)
My prayer is that this blog will not only be an encouragement to Heidi and her family, but also to those who can be encouraged by how God is using Heidi and her family for his kingdom purposes.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, " Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
