At bible study this past week our leader showed us the sermon below (on DVD). Josh and I really enjoyed it and thought we'd post a link to it for anyone interested in listening (about 45 minutes long). During the Sermon, John Lynch shared a piece he wrote called "The New Testament Gamble". Josh and I were really moved by it. He prefaced the piece by challenging the viewers to think- "What if I gave my children grace like God gives me grace?"For Josh and I, it challenged us to think, "what if we gave one another grace like God gives us grace?"

Prayer Requests for this week
As many of you know, Josh begins week 1 of API (Aviation Preflight Indoctrination) this week. We would appreciate your prayers as he (and I) begin this adventure. Word has it, the students should put in about 5 hours of studying a night (after a full day of classes) and 8 hours each day on the weekend. Please pray for me as I try to support him in his studies in the midst of busy work days myself. Pray for Josh that he will have the mental and physical endurance to complete these difficult weeks of education ahead with God's strength.
Another prayer request we have is for Josh's overall health during this time. Last night, Josh's eyes and face began to swell up (looks very similar to the swelling I had awhile back). After 16 hours of taking benadryl around the clock, the swelling is only just beginning to go down. We are not sure what caused the swelling, but we would appreciate your prayers for his health, especially during this critical time in his education and career.
We miss you all and love you so much.
In Christ,
Whitney and Josh

What if sand gets on my pizza?
We have discovered a wonderful pizzeria nearby our house on "Perdido Key". They have amazing garlic bread (and pizza of course). After a long week of work and Josh's first day of API (Aviation Preflight Indoctrination), we decided to get some delicious pizza and eat it across the street on the beach. It was a warm week here- perfect for the beach in the evening.

Nothing relaxes Josh more than a good slice of bacon and mushroom pizza ;)...while he wasn't too keen on walking through the sand to eat his pizza, it was a win/win

Pretty dunes behind us
Unrelated to the photos above, I thought I'd sneak a photo in of Matt on his last night here in Florida. Josh and Matt's sponsor brother from the Academy just arrived to Pensacola for flight school. We had a great night reuniting with Jim. In the Navy, it is very rarely "Goodbye", but rather, "See you later".
