God's Timing

This morning we went to Panera Bread for coffee and bagels- probably a little later than we would normally go and as we were parking, a familiar face pulled right in next to us in the parking lot. Sure enough, it was a guy who went to Officer's Christian Fellowship with us in Pensacola briefly before he moved to Jacksonville (we hadn't gotten a chance to really get to know him, however, we had met him at least a handful of times). He was also going into Panera with his wife (newly married- never met her). We were excited to see him and asked about Officer's Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, as we had e-mailed the website contact weeks ago and still had not heard back. He chuckled and said that he and his wife were actually meeting up with another couple at Panera who recently began a smaller OCF bible study in our area of town! We had a chance to meet this other couple and we plan to join their group once we are settled in.

God is so good and always finds unique ways to encourage us in our faith in spite of needing to leave some very dear friends and Christians in the Pensacola area.

In other news, we also found out that we live a few blocks away from another girl who we knew from OCF in Pensacola!

Phillipians 4:19 reminds us: "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

Praise God!

Totally unrelated, however, some other updates on what has been going on over here is as follows:

We have spent hours cleaning the house. Although the house looked more or less clean when we arrived, the things we have noticed to clean as a result of minor cleaning has left us with quite a task! We can now say that every baseboard, door, window-sill, blind, window, light, mantle, bookshelf, counter top, bath, sink, mirror, etc is as clean as it will ever get! While this has been a daunting task and our fingers are shriveled, it was a great opportunity to do all of the cleaning before our furniture gets placed in the way!

Although we did not take a "before" picture, this is a picture of the patio, landing, and driveway that was power washed today by professionals (courtesy of our Landlord). We were thrilled with the finished product! The poor guy spent 6 hours out in the rain cleaning the house, windows, patio, landing, and driveway.
