Fire Drills

This is what we have to say about fire drills that go on for an hour:

(can you see the red beady eyes??)

Oh dear...I hope he doesn't expect me to give him food to console him...

Josh's unwavering focus the first 10 minutes...

...And then comes the reaction the other two of us had (Edgar and I).."This is making me crazy!"

6 1/2 Years

Josh reminded me last night that today marks 6 and a half years since we began dating...

(Spring formal at the Naval Academy when I was still at Calvin)

I think we may take the prize for the couple that celebrated "month" anniversaries the longest

Haha- Mom A once asked us- "so, when do you think you'll stop celebrating the "months" and only celebrate the "years"?

Well, I think we stopped "celebrating" our "month" anniversaries when we got engaged on our 5 year anniversary- I think that means we celebrated 60 "month" anniversaries before realizing our wallets might thank us if we stretched our celebrations and gifts out a little longer ;)....Ahh, Love....

Josh took me out on a sailboat after Plebe summer...ask Dad A what I think of sailboats sometime...

At the Burks before a formal Josh's firstie (senior) year at the Academy

Josh holding one of those "month" celebration gifts he gave me :) on my couch at Calvin

In my first apartment in Philadelphia (at Jefferson)

Good times.... :)

What is an "NFO"?

Now that Josh is nearly done with what is called "Introductory Flight Screening" or (IFS), he will resume doing various tasks at the Naval Academy until we move to FL in December. Once we are in Florida, Josh will begin something called "Aviation Preflight Indoctrination" (API).
I thought I would pass this helpful link along that describes what Josh will be learning about and doing when we move to FL. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Flight_Officer
