Well,
I thought I would add some pictures of recent happenings....So, we're back from our wonderful honeymoon (well...we've been back awhile...but I wish I could go back!) and we've done a lot in our first 2 months of married life.
I just finished my 2nd summer semester (whew!) and I begin my final semester the day after labor day!
Josh just finished working one job at the Naval Academy and will now be working for the Physical Education Dept at the Naval Academy....he seems to have a lot of responsibilities with this new job (for example: he will be teaching 7-8 swimming classes a week, assistant coach to the rifle team, miscellaneous jobs he gets assigned like weighing in all the midshipmen for 6 hours!, and so forth). Josh will also be completing introductory flight school before we move down to Florida (well, at least that's the plan!)
We've seemed to catch up with a lot of friends in the meantime: going to Keesha and Kenny's wedding, spending time with Matt, Heidi, Jeff and Feroza, Luke and Erika, and of course Edgar.
One new development that began when Heidi was visiting is that we have recently begun letting Edgar (our guinea pig -of course) roam the apartment. We thought he would just sit idly but races all over the place in search of any sort of green food. At first he was pretty bad at it but he's catching on. We've got to watch him though or he'll chew on anything made of wood!
Another recently new development is that I (Whitney) have taken up golf! I have had 2 lessons and actually enjoy it. I used to mock it saying "who would ever want to hit a ball, watch it fly, watch it land, walk to it, and do it all over again!" but I have really enjoyed spending time walking the course with Josh. He says I'm the best newbie he's ever seen (I dunno, there might be a little bit of bias there ;)).
What am I doing with all of my "free" time while school is out? Well...I'm working on my ongoing research project for school (pilot testing for individuals with spinal cord injuries), organizing the apartment (you'll see a pic of a blanket I made while talking on the phone with Josh at Calvin College- we just moved the last of Josh's stuff out of the Burks' house), and trying to get into an exercise routine. Well, I'm sure I could write more, but I should go work on my resume.....it's probably a little more important :)
